This Pioneer SX1250 has been completed restored. All electrolytic capacitors have been replaced along with the small signal transistors throughout the preamp and amplifier sections. The controls have been cleaned properly and the receiver was fully detailed while it was apart.
The chassis is excellent condition. No signs of rust or corrosion. Likewise, the black heat sinks only show minimal signs of wear and no signs of misuse. The faceplate is in good condition but not perfect. There are a few marks which I documents in the photos under direct LED light to highlight the flaws. Please review the photos fully and if you would like to see more photos of the flaws in various light please let me know.
The rear of the receiver is excellent and among the most-clean I've seen. It's clear the previous owner cared for this Pioneer and with the full restoration it can be enjoyed for many years to come. I have listened to this receiver for about 20 hours, it sounds excellent and never gets above warm even when pushed.
This is a great option for anyone considering a vintage receiver. The SX1250 is the biggest and most-powerful Pioneer receiver offered during this time period. If you have any questions please let me know! -Bob
